Plettenberg Equestrian Academy

The Equine industry in South Africa has been undergoing extensive changes over the last few years, with more and more emphasis being placed on having reliable, well trained and qualified staff.

At the Plettenberg Equestrian Academy (PEA) we give our students a solid all round equine education, both practically and theoretically, in a fun and safe environment. We base our emphasis on producing students who are knowledgeable, reliable and confident to work in any type of horse yard within the industry. We have highly qualified Instructors and our student numbers are kept down so that each student will benefit from more individual attention.

About the Academy

The Equestrian academy, a division of the prestigious International Hotel School is situated on the Nooitgedacht Fijnbosch Stud which is owned by Mr. Russell Stevens and run by Managing Principal, Chantelle McCabe. This picturesque horse stud is situated in the Harkerville forest belt between Plettenberg Bay and Knysna. Students are accommodated on the farm and, as well as studying for their SANEF exams, they take part in all the farm activities.

Our Instructors are all qualified and actively involved in the industry and their respective disciplines.
